Trusting In the Lord is Fundamental Truth to Maintaining Principles of Hedge

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).

According to Proverbs Chapter three, the first principle as a Christian is to trust in the Lord. When we are pressed by life in terms of financial lack, family or marital challenges, business setbacks and general struggles in life, it seems the Christian cannot find God anywhere in the situation. The believer’s faith in God is questioned and he’s forced to look elsewhere. Oh yes. Life can be so demanding and challenging so much that, it is not as if you’re not a Christian but the reality of the situation can force the believer to take some options.

Trusting in God is simple. What it means is: even though you have financial lack, God is not saying don’t take a step. Taking a step is actually a sign of your faith. But whiles you’re going through the lack or hardship, do not relinquish your faith that God is the one who can open that door or cause men to give to you. This is fundamental. As soon as you allow your extreme lack to provoke you to go to any source which is not Godly, your trust in your God is wavered.

If your marriage is going through trials in terms of unfaithfulness, issues undermining your trust and the zeal of marriage which usually can go down after many years, trust in the Lord if you’re a believer. Don’t retaliate by becoming unfaithful to your spouse. It would make matters worse and wouldn’t solve the problem. If your zeal in marriage is going down, trust the Lord to help you uplift it. Consider where the problem is and ask God for help.

If your business is not seeing profits, examine your financial commitment in terms of tithing and your general giving with God. Have a new business approach. Find out the problems with your business and the things you are not doing properly compared to what others are doing. Trusting in God to help you find solutions to these as you discover secrets in His word that speaks to your business areas is fundamental.

In heavy rain storms, everything scatters. The weather is so turbulent that, the only thing you seek at the time is get to save place to hide or better still quickly get into your abode. An abode with a strong roofing stands strong in stormy winds. In the same way, there comes a time in the life of a person everything goes in a mess. If your relationship with God is okay in the case of Job, don’t try to reason it with your natural mind. This is what the bible acknowledges as ‘leaning not on your own understanding’. Be still and know that He is God. If you’re calm, you will understand God in the situation and he will direct you out of the predicament.

If you’re going through trials and lose your trust in God, you give the enemy the opportunity to attack your faith which is the hedge that constantly keeps you on the threshold of receiving from God. The devil’s plan is to get you confused to lose your direction which breaks the hedge in keeping God’s understanding in the situation. Once you go your way, your hedge of understanding is broken and the devil attacks you by taking wrong routes to solving your problem which often results in perpetual chaos.
