Lack of Transparency Exposes a Hedge-Less Believer and Circular Beings

Transparency

One of the principles of Christianity is to demonstrate our God in public. In fact a believer must be who he is in public. It is claimed by others that, some believers are different from what they were, one week ago in church. In other words, what people profess to believe is not what exactly they portray to be. People can be different from what they are in their churches. People can also be different from what they are in their offices compared to what they are in their churches as well.

However bible reminds us that ‘since we are surrounded by so great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles… (Hebrews 12:1). The public observes the life of the believer daily for that reason, the Christian must be careful to lead the life that pleases God and men wherever they go. A lot of things can contribute to the Christian not able to keep one face all the time.

One could be personal insecurity and the other could be identity issues– not discovered who they really are. There can be believers who are not sure of their salvation due to particular sins in their lives. People pray over particular sins and go back to do it again. They can get frustrated over the issue and can become very hard on themselves. And so the deep conception of not able to maintain one stand could be daunting and could result in going around with that mindset that, they are intransigent kind of people.

People who are not certain about their true identity are also not confident of who they are. On the basis of this, they operate in the mood of image instability. Today, they want to be like you, tomorrow, he wants to be somebody else. They fail to accept who they are and prefer living in the shadows of others perceived to have good images. Bottom line, they value others than themselves due to identity issues. Lack of transparency itself begins from persons who do not know who they really are.

People at the helms of organizations or organizations that lacks transparency in the things they do usually have persons who have lacked transparency about their own lives. If you’re not transparent about your life, it becomes an attitude and you demonstrate that same attitude when you’re put in a position. For some organizations, management strictly operates at the top and have a policy of not getting down information to their staffs or discussing anything managerial with them. All that staffs do is to handle or deliver results of the work they are given. Sometimes probing our asking questions can incur the wrath of management.

Lack of transparency means that, evil or wrongs can go on hindsight the ordinary staff. If we are not transparent then we have something to hide. The Organization could be doing other things that may have frowned on organizational or company laws. This could lead to investigations through auditing processes and should the organization be found to have infringed on company laws, they can fall liable to charges by the law courts.

A Christian at best must not be part of such an organization or better still, not fall prey to these inner caucus management that is responsible for such actions. But then doing shady things invites all manner of attitudes that is related to cutting corners to do other business or diverting company funds into other ventures sometimes to bring revenue but the channel is wrong. It stifles organizational growths and can bring suffering to people working under such strenuous conditions. The day evil judgment is passed on such brings to light, the fatal end of such persons which signifies an evil hedge under cover that is finally broken. It has existed and protected bad persons for all these while but on God’s Day of Judgment, the evil hedge is finally broken.
