Unabated Battle between the Devil and God- You’re the Enemy’s Main Focus
Satan does not study God’s nature to understand or admire it, but rather to oppose His will and ruin His plans, acting as a limited, created being rather than an omniscient one. He observes humanity to tempt them, yet he cannot fully understand God’s divine plans, particularly those hidden in Scripture, which he cannot comprehend or act upon.-literature
Since the demotion of Satan from his high ranking position in heaven, it affected his status and for that reason created an enmity between him and God. It is just as being sacked from an organization for embezzling. Even though the story could be true and the action taken right, the loss of his self-value and the fact that the news may have gone far can really hurt. Inability to come to terms with his reputational damage and the sudden realization that, this is how he has fallen can bear rude hatred against the organization.
Satan wished that God had pardoned his uprising of his Maker. And that is how some human beings are. The pain they have to go through is so much that, they wished they were sympathized with and retained. Unfortunately there are punishments we have to face. Every offense goes with a certain level of punishment. And so the devil had been at loggerheads with his Maker since God mastered courage to throw him out of position to the earth. He has been seriously bruised and he is out there to oppose God anytime any day.
So in all His splendor as we know Him to be and our daily commitment to revere God and do His biddings, Satan since his demotion has an ambition of fighting God. He has been made so because God actually created Satan so God can put him in any state be it good our bad. Satan ensures that nothing of God goes on. Bible says ‘he came to kill, to steal and to destroy’ (John 10:10). There is nothing good in the devil. Human beings do the killing but where from the idea- the devil. It is your hand that does the stealing but where from the thought- the devil. The suicide bombers who destroy people, where from the decision? It’s the devil.
It is the devil that opposes God’s will by telling you not to go to the meeting because the will of God for you is to be in that meeting to hear that Word. Or to open the scripture at that moment to find that rhema. When your pastor preaches and sets example that coincidentally fits into your case, you get angry because you think he is preaching with your secret. It is the devil opposing God’s will for you to accept the message with a good heart. It is the devil opposing God’s will for you to refuse educating yourself because it will position you in life. It is a good thing but the devil doesn’t like it. It is the devil opposing God’s will by telling you to disrespect your parents and to disobey the elderly. It is the devil’s seed of opposing God’s will that is why you disrespect your pastor or church authority. You always make excuse for prayer and word study. You actually love other things more than the things of God. It’s the devil’s plan. It is the devil’s plan to make sure you do not do the right thing.
Do you know that God has a superior plan for your life? ‘For I know the plans I have for you, plans of good and not of evil, to bring you to an expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). To know God’s superior plans for you, you have to draw closer to Him. You have to be ready to submit to God to know his thoughts towards you. God’s plan for you is to make you a better person. To make your family better, your finances and businesses prosper. Are you running your life like God wants it? Are you leading your family as God wants it? Are your finances doing well and is your business flourishing? God has a way but the devil is showing you another way as a means of opposing His will for your life.
The devil wants you to see your problems bigger than God and that’s why he tries to limit your thinking. The devil is presenting God to you as an inferior God. The reason he makes you to think God is just someone sitting somewhere. The devil’s plan is for you not to recognize the magnificence of God that God knows and understands all things. So that your ability to trust Him to provide counsel through His word and anointed individuals is hampered.
That step you want to take this year by trying to get closer to God is Godly. But after a while, you don’t feel like doing it anymore. It’s the devil’s plan to let you fall outside of God’s will for your life. You’re not completing that building for God because the devil dislikes the idea. You’ve stopped going to church because the devil is happy about it. You left church due to offense? Rescind your decision by going back to God to defeat the devil’s plan of opposing God’s will for your life. The devil is provoking you hard to take that decision to land you in trouble. Remember the devil is jealous of God’s plan for your life and that is why he is fighting hard to get you to yield to his temptation. That friend will not be refunding the organization’s money you lend to him. The Holy Spirit was prompting you but you didn’t turn a listening ear.
Understand that, the enemy cannot know what is in your head until you say it. Learn to keep your plans shut. The devil’s aim is to destroy your plans through people. Even though the devil is a supernatural being, he’s not been given the edge or mandate to be all-knowing except God. So the devil lacks the ability to destroy your plans unless it is revealed to him. You are your own enemy therefore. Unless that information is released about you, the devil knows nothing and can do nothing. It is better not to hear anything about your future but rather pray to fulfill whatever promise God has for you. Do you wonder how the devil cannot fathom who you are? God has kept it from him so keep shut. Go about your things quietly and the God who knows you before time will bring it to pass before the devil recognizes it.
