God’s throne is His office. The throne is God’s habitation. It is where He sits and a symbol of His Kingship. The throne is where God issues instructions. It is His place of judgment. When the King sits therefore, he is ready to pronounce judgment. What does God command from His throne? The righteousness of God Is His holiness. Justice is the manner God delivers judgment. It simply means that, God judges according to His holiness and he judges fairly.

Holiness does not permit sin so God judges your case with a pure heart. Whiles God is judging your case, He is judging it with subtlety. No one can blind God to pronounce the wrong judgment on you. God is not like the judge at the law courts that will pronounce judgment according to your offense. God is Merciful so even though you’re guilty, the blood of His Son Jesus is interceding whiles the devil is mentioning your case to the Almighty. Anytime God remembers the sacrifice of His Son on the cross and the blood, no matter how serious your offense is, God will have mercy and pardon you. Christianity becomes the last resort therefore when someone is condemned to die. They run to the church to confess their sins and then God in His mercy, accepts them and gives them a reason to live. Even someone who exchanged blood for money can come to a difficult place by asking God for forgiveness. He can be forgiven and that guilt becomes his past.

It is God’s unmovable love for humanity that makes Him judge your case with the right heart- purity and fairness. That love has already been demonstrated on the cross by His Son Jesus descending from His honored place in Heaven and dying like a criminal to save you and I from our sins. If God does not love you and I, He wouldn’t have asked His precious Son to come from His high place in heaven to come and die in the manner He did for mere mortal men. It is the steadfast love of God that enables Him to judge your case with righteousness and justice.

If is often said that, without character it would be difficult to rule in an office. Imagine you’re a police officer or a judge involved in a crime or supporting arm robbers with weapons. It rightly suggests you do not have character to arrest or prosecute people. God is highly mandated to judge you and I because he has an unblemished, impeccable character.

Character or right standing increases confidence and this is what gives God authority to rule you and me or to rule over that case. Creating the earth naturally gives God authority over His creation. This is His first level of authority. Remember, if you lack authority, you cannot rule effectively so desist from that thing you’re doing that always comes as an accusation when you’re before God. That condemns you as a Christian in your daily walk. You lack confidence to correct people because you feel condemned. Do you feel intimidated because you have lost your authority? Stop that thing that makes you feel accused or intimidated before the devil.

Remember that, instituting the law is not to punish but to correct and so the law must be interpreted or implemented in love. It is God’s moral standing that motivates His power to rule. In the same way, it is your character that makes you give a command for the devil to succumb to you. God’s righteousness and justice, His steadfast love, morality and character puts him in an advantageous position confronting the devil on such issues. The righteousness of God fights the evil or wrongs of the devil. The justice of God in His ruling nullifies the unfairness and vain condemnation of the devil.

God’s unwavering love proves to the devil that, even though He is a God that punishes wrong, He does not do it in the spirit of hatred or with the mindset to hurt the individual. The goal is to bring the awareness to make the individual a better person. Change in the believer is all the Almighty desires in exercising His divine attributes, not his downfall. God is emboldened to exercise His attributes because it is love that motivates it and He’s backed by His father in heaven.

Look at yourself in God’s righteousness. In your own way, are you walking right before God? Are you doing the right things such as having communion with your God? Do you receive the promptings of the Holy Spirit when He wants you to pray and study your bible? Do you demonstrate fairness when you have to? Do you have preferences in life such that, you put some before others? Are there things you love so much that they cannot take the place of God? Must you watch your football at all cost when God is signaling you to retire? Do you apportion your time evenly to experience balance in your activities?

Behind your hardness or strictness, go you love people? Do you have a soft heart? Do you make the effort to live a moral life or you easily yield to sin? It is the effort God requires? If the righteous falls seven times, he shall arise (Proverbs 24:16). Effort to walk right, remain just and unflinching love demonstrating morality and character puts you in a better position for God to fight your battle with the devil. The devil will find it hard to raise accusations against you because he wouldn’t find fault if you are the one that is sensitive to sin and confesses once you falter.
