Besides Godly principles, there are general principles that guides the behavior of people in an organization. There are persons whose principles are strongly worded in their beliefs. For instance Christians believe that, their faith is based on the Salvation of Jesus Christ whereas the Muslims also believe that their religion was founded by Mohammed. Muslims believe in doing good, showing kindness and love but they also believe in an ‘eye for an eye’ and ‘tooth for tooth’. Christian’s belief that vengeance is of the Lord.
For some organizations, a staff must not be part of a crime, they must have financial discipline, and they must be accountable and have a high sense of productivity. A Christian cannot be in an organization with such beliefs and cheat. A Christian cannot be in such an organization and embezzle funds or steal money because even Christian beliefs frowns on these. Besides, sincerity and generosity are values that can be common in almost every facet.
Is it possible for a Christian to be part of a crime? Circumstances sometimes compel people to commit crime. Consider a believer who is hard-pressed for money. Even though the head knows that we must not be a part of crimes, circumstances can compel people to get involved. Especially if it falls in line with their work or responsibilities. Could it be that, a believer who oversees a toll box allows some cars or persons to pass-by without staking tickets? Those monies goes into their pockets.
Why would a believer endure the pain or go through the pain of committing such a crime? There are activities that can easily suggest to us that it is nothing. The faint mind of saying it is not a big crime. Subtly, the enemy of theft just crept in. There are Christians who accepted Jesus with their heads but their hearts were still unchanged. Especially Christians that had the lifestyle of stealing before they converted. People commit crimes because of their history of committing evil.
Having financial discipline is to be prudent in its financial spending. The way an organization apportions money in its spending, they expect their staffs to do the same. A financial organization expects its staffs to be disciplined in their financial spending. They must indeed use their monies to perform the task they intend to. For instance there are financial organizations that do not sponsor alcoholic products, they don’t support adverts that has tobacco contents and do not support programs that promotes entertainment and sexual contents like movies.
Such organizations expects people who profits from their financial sponsorship to be accountable. For instance when they give loans to the public, they have a strong believe that the public must not default in their repayment. The financial departments within the organization must provide good accounts on their expenditures. The accountants must render accounts that, the organization must not lose or experience a short fall. Staffs must be discreet in their spending as part of their values and must pay soft loans given to them by the organization.
Time is the greatest asset an organization has and for that matter, they expect their staffs to make good use of their time and be very productive within the eight hours of work daily. It is an error for a chief executive to see a staff doing something else with their time other than anything that profits the organization. Indeed it is must be part of their time discipline.
Issues of theft, insincerity and dishonesty takes away the wind of the Holy Spirit from us which open doors for attacks, robbery and the rest. If you see any home that is robbed and attacked with various atrocious acts meted to them, it could be they are reaping the evil reports of financial indiscipline, unaccountability and deceit they have shown to their organizations which are signs of a broken hedge. Hardened criminals ends up being killed- a sign of their broken hedge of protection.
