God is a Just Protector, Be Responsible and Protect Your Legal Grounds
Based on biblical perspectives, God is considered a just protector who, while sending general blessings like rain and sun upon both just and unjust people, offers specific, protective guidance to the righteous while allowing the unrighteous to face the consequences of their actions. – Source: Podbean
The legal grounds of our Christianity is when we are living right. God is ready to defend the believer once he is living right. The believer’s ability to walk away from sin, ability to confess when we falter and persistently walk right gives God the urge to defend us when the enemy comes at us. And so if the theory says, ‘God will not protect Job unjustly if legal grounds were exposed’, the statement is right.
Job wouldn’t expect God to blindly support him when he does not have right standing before God. Otherwise it gives the enemy the legal authority to raise accusations or for the devil to oppress him. We have to get these facts right so that we can be circumspect in the way we go about our Christianity.
The literature therefore is sounding in its presentation that God is a just protector. If you kill, you will be brought before the law and you will be prosecuted. If you steal, you will be arrested and beaten among lay men. That is the reward for stealing. God has nothing to do with this. God does not defend murder and theft because He is a just God. In spite, God is a Merciful God. God is not happy to see his handiwork go through torture. God will only save a murderer or a thief if He knows it will lead the victim to repentance. You have no option than to change or commit yourself to God if He saves you out of serious trouble.
You don’t also expect to walk late in the night when everyone is asleep and expect to be protected. Does it sound well to you this late in the night? What were you doing out there late? Your fault was to walk out there late. If God saves you out of late night attack, you only have to be grateful. If you’re not saved in the night, don’t blame God. Don’t be irresponsible and expect God’s responsibility. Cross the street with consciousness. Time the vehicle and run fast. Don’t walk leisurely and expect the driver to be patient with you. A considerate person will. Inconsiderate drivers come at the same speed. Be careful.
We mustn’t for once take God for granted. If you’re succeeding in your endeavor, don’t say God is at peace with you. For instance, if you’re stealing and murdering people at gunpoint, the fact that you got the money doesn’t mean God endorsed it. It’s just a matter of time and your dead body will be picked. The fact that you are seeing some of the rain does not mean you’re a good person. It rains everywhere but some locations do get their judgment even in extensive rain conditions. If the items that was taken away by the rain water wasn’t from a good source, it could be a reward for your bad deed. If you’re an idol worshipper and the thunder breaks down your building, what do you think could have caused it? Unrighteousness! Remember God is against idol worship.
There are general blessings and specific blessings. The example of the rain falling anywhere is one of a general blessing. ‘And there, the Lord commanded His blessings’ (Psalm 133:3). God commanded the ravens to send food to where His righteous servant, Elijah was and they did. Has anyone told you that, God ask them to bring you this? This is specific. Or the exact money you were looking for in your heart, became the exact amount that was paid into your bank account. This is specific. ‘God sent me to bring you this’ and the person actually came to your house. This is specific.
Have you seen serious accidents where some persons never got injured? It can be hard to believe if you look at the way the vehicle is mangled. Persons were fast asleep when the rains began. They slept so deep that, they couldn’t hear nor see water enter their rooms. For rains that were capable of carrying them away, they woke up to see that, they were sleeping safely in their rooms and the waters have resided. Isn’t this amazing? In the midst of the debris of the earthquake or fire outbreak, you were found somewhere. Isn’t it God’s unique protective guidance of your life?
Did you see what happened to the people of the world whom Noah was asked to go and warn to desist from their sinful lives? They were all destroyed under the waters that fell. Do you remember that, the town and people of Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of immorality which was unrighteousness? Watch ladies and gentlemen who walk in sexual sins! They sometimes die at that same spot. The bodies of some people weren’t found because they perished in the sea. Some mysterious deaths can be as a result of some abominable acts.
