The Accuser is duly aware of Your Position. He Is Just Probing You. Stay Calm
Definition
A random accusation is an unsubstantiated, arbitrary, or unfounded claim of wrongdoing made against someone without evidence, often appearing unexpectedly. While they may feel random to the recipient, these accusations are frequently deliberate, malicious acts designed to cause emotional distress, shift blame, or control a situation-Source: Medium+4
Revelation
Indeed it is not a secret that the devil asked God in Job 1:9 (Does Job Fear God for Nothing?). This question asked by the devil was a trickery statement. The devil meant ‘isn’t it because of the good things you’ve been showering on him, that’s the reason he fears you? Or in our day, it is often said that, a Christian is zealous, happy and going all out for the things of God because everything is going on successfully with that believer. Indeed it is when things are bad that you can see the one who loves God. So the devil’s claim was not false in anyway.
Even though the devil could be right in his claim, other bible scholars described it as a random accusation. Why? You mustn’t accuse any human being when you don’t know his relationship with God. The devil could be wrong with his trigger question. God could have given the devil a one-time response by saying ‘No, Job Fears Me for something’. It could have settled the case immediately but before, lets delve into the phrase, ‘random accusation’.
The devil may or may not know in truth if Job feared God for nothing or for something and that is why his claim could be substantiated or unsubstantiated. Sometimes teachers know the answers but they intentionally ask students to test their knowledge. That was what the enemy tried doing. He already knew the answer but he asked to protract the conversation to a point where God can be triggered to offer another test. That is how the devil is. A swindler who is always finding a loophole. That is his work- To find faults in our Christian walk which must make us better.
Random is to select or choose without looking. Just as picking a voucher from a list for a raffle winner. Job was quietly sitting his somewhere when the enemy picked on him by chance. As you are sitting comfortably in your couch or balcony, make sure you’re not the one the devil picks on for trial. Spiritual exercises can put fear in Christians such as calling on anyone to quote a memory verse from the bible. Most believers are not ready when God calls on them. Don’t be out of season. Be in season. Be ready at all times because your adversary is moving around like a lion seeking whom to devour. It could be you, it could be me. Let get prepared.
Again it could be a claim the devil couldn’t have been able to put a finger on or defended against Job. Unfounded truths can be leveled against people such as theft and so on. He may look like that guy but he is not the one. He may have coincidentally walked where the crime took place but he knows nothing about it. Sometimes we need to investigate properly before we accuse or pass verdict or sentence on people. A sinful world called Jesus thief on the cross but he wasn’t a thief. In fact the way he was beaten was as someone who stole but he did not. Was the devil’s claim about Job founded or unfounded?
The claim that is made against you sometimes is just so rapid. Victims gesture with their hands on their chest asking ‘Oh is it me? No, it isn’t me. I didn’t do it’. They don’t believe the incident. You were enjoying your wealth in peace and did not expect an attack, isn’t it? Oh yes, He gives us things to freely enjoy. Whatever He does, He adds no sorrow bible says. So where from the sudden attack? Where from the sudden gunshot? The robbery attack etc.
I am sure Job may have observed the whole event and wondered if it could change or it could have been someone else. That’s when you ask God ‘Why me?’ You were picked randomly. Remember! It may delight the believer to know that, the enemy knew exactly what he was doing. The devil knew that Job was righteous and an upright man. There were evidence to show yet he went to test God. Do you know people do things just because of hate? It’s not that he has any evidence but just because he hates you. People exact cruelty and wickedness just because they do not like your personality. Can you imagine? People do say, ‘I hate you’ bluntly.
All that they meant is to cause you pain and emotional distress. Do you think the devil does not know you’re innocent but he is deliberately causing you pain? People say ‘causing you pain is what makes me happy’. Can you imagine? Your distractors know. They know the evil they have caused you. Some regret later and come to apologize. No wonder, job friends came to apologize in the end and God rewarded Job twice as much as a sign that, he was wrongly hurt.
The devil does not want to be identified for his cruel action on you. He wants others to be blamed for it. People can say. ‘When we look at your face, you look like you’re the one’. The fingerprints looks like yours. They don’t verify before they conclude. It is usually an evil voice that speaks through people to shift blames. For others, they take pleasure in exercising dominion over people or have the habit of manipulating others. They capitalize on your predicament to cause you to be overwhelmed by a situation in your life they caused. Remain calm, don’t be perturbed, ask God for strength in the midst of the turmoil and even in their wicked intent, you will come out victorious.
